This past May, IMPACT’s Board of Directors launched a search for our next Executive Director. After an extensive search process (aided by Scott & Crobsy Staffing Inc., an equity-focused talent acquisition firm), we are thrilled to announce that Christopher Beard has been selected as our new Executive Director!
IMPACT’s board has given significant consideration to the skills, experiences, and expertise needed to effectively guide IMPACT Silver Spring in its next phase of development, agreeing that Chris has what it takes to move the organization forward successfully. Immediately prior to coming to IMPACT, Chris served as Lead Project Manager at Values Partnerships, where he managed a portfolio of partner grantees associated with the Grow with Google Fund for Justice-Impacted Communities. Additional prior work experience includes serving as the DC Head Start State Collaboration Director and as a Director for the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI). During his time at NFI, he co-authored InsideOut DadTM, the nation’s most widely used evidence-based fatherhood program designed for incarcerated fathers.
Chris holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California and will be graduating next year with a Masters in Major Program Management from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University, UK.
Chris’ program development and management experience, leadership skills, and commitment to racial and social equity make him an exceptional individual for the role of Executive Director. We are confident that with his leadership, the organization’s success and impact in achieving its mission and living out its values will continue to flourish.
