Volunteer Youth Soccer Coaches

Volunteers needed to coach 3rd - 6th grade co-ed youth soccer teams. Teams practice and play games in Wheaton. Prior coaching experience preferred. Support the community by lending your time to provide instruction in soccer and in life. You will have an opportunity to influence young minds and model showing up for your community.

Volunteers must be at least 16 year of age and will need to undergo the Montgomery County Recreation Department's routine background check.

Time commitment:
3 times per week for eight week. April 16, 2016 - May 25, 2016. Games will be Saturday afternoons at Glenallan ES starting April 16th.

Volunteer Adult ESOL Instructors

Volunteers needed to teach English language classes in the Long Branch community of Silver Spring. Prior experience is not needed. Training is provided.

Volunteers should be responsible, open-minded, fluent in English and available for at least 3 - 4 hours a week. Prior ESOL or other adult education experience is preferred, but not required. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience and make a difference in our community. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age

Time commitment:
3-4 hours per week, from April - June 2016. Volunteers will teach classes on either Tuesday evenings at the Takoma/East Silver Spring Center or Wednesday evenings at Clifton Park Baptist Church.
